Stillpoint Yoga studio practice

What we teach

Six ways in. Same room, same kindness.

We don't try to teach everything. The studio holds a deliberately small palette of styles so every teacher has years of depth in what they lead — and every student has space to find their door.

Six ways in. Same room, same kindness.

We teach a deliberately small palette of styles — the ones our instructors have spent years studying. Each one is a different door into the same room.

Our practice

A practice that follows you off the mat.

What happens on the mat is the easy part. What it teaches you about how to breathe in traffic, sit with grief, listen to your body when it’s tired — that’s the work. We try to teach the second one through the first.

  1. 01

    Arrive 10 minutes early

Sign in, leave shoes at the door, choose a spot. Tea is on. No need to rush.

  2. 02

    Borrow what you need

Mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps — all included. We have water and small towels.

  3. 03

    Tell your instructor

Pregnancy, recent injuries, what you're avoiding today — share what's useful. We adjust the class around you, not the other way around.

  4. 04

    Take what fits

Modify, sit out a pose, leave child's pose for the whole class. The practice meets you where you are. Always.

Frequently asked

What students ask about the styles.

I'm not sure which style is right for me. Where do I start?
Sunday Slow Vinyasa with Maren, or any Yin & Restorative class. Both are slow, fully optional, and the room has practitioners of every experience level. Your first class is free either way.
Is Hot 26 the same as Bikram?
It's the same sequence — 26 postures and two breathing exercises in 90 minutes at 95°F. We don't operate under the Bikram brand; the sequence is in the public domain. Theo trained with senior Bikram-lineage teachers.
Can I do prenatal yoga if I've never done yoga before?
Yes. The class is designed for that. Maren is RPYT-certified, the room is unheated, and every pose is taught with a beginner version. Bring your OB clearance if you're past the first trimester.
What's a sound bath exactly?
You lie down on a mat with a blanket and an eye pillow. Aria plays crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes for 45–55 minutes. No movement, no chanting. People describe it as the deepest rest they've had all week.
