Frequently asked

Before you come in

A few things people ask before their first class. If you don't see your question, the phone line is the fastest way to an answer.

I'm a complete beginner. Will I be lost?

No. Every class on the schedule includes modifications for beginners, and our teachers actively cue them. If you're nervous, try Hatha — All Levels (Tuesday/Thursday 7 am) or Slow Vinyasa (Monday 5:45 pm). Tell the teacher it's your first class and they'll keep an eye out.

What should I bring? What should I wear?

Bring water and a small towel if you sweat. Wear something you can move and bend in — leggings or shorts and a t-shirt are perfect. We provide mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets. You don't need to own any gear to practice here.

Is my first class really free?

Yes. Any group class, any style, any day. No credit card required to reserve. We do ask that you book ahead so we don't oversell the room.

How do I reserve a class?

For now, by phone or email — we'll have you on the list in minutes. Members can book through our app. Reservations open 72 hours ahead for members, 48 hours ahead for pass holders, and 24 hours ahead for drop-ins.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel up to four hours before class and your spot stays open. Late cancels and no-shows lose the reservation but never a fee — we trust you to be considerate of the waitlist.

I'm pregnant. Can I take a regular class?

Tell us where you are in your pregnancy and we'll guide you. The pre/post-natal class on Thursdays at 10 am is sequenced specifically for pregnancy. Many regular classes are also safe — we'll talk through your options.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes — call or email. We do paper gift cards and digital ones, in any amount, no expiry. Popular for birthdays, new parents, and "I owe you one" apologies.

Is there parking?

Free street parking on Harbor Lane (2-hour limit) and metered spots on Front Street. The Crocker Park municipal lot is a 4-minute walk and runs $2/hour, all day. We have a bike rack out front.

Is the studio accessible?

The Garden Room is fully ground-floor accessible. The East Room is up one flight of stairs (no elevator — limitations of an 1880s building). We're actively working on adding a lift; in the meantime, all class styles are offered in both rooms at some point in the week. Email us and we'll find a class that works.

We'll see you soon.

Call, email, or just show up fifteen minutes before a class. We'll take it from there.
