Alder & Stone

Capabilities

Capabilities

Alder & Stone has been building character-driven custom homes across Park City, Deer Valley, and the Heber Valley since 2001. Architect-led, single-source project management, every selection guided in our Park Avenue materials library. We don’t hand off — the partner you meet at hello signs the final walk-through.

New Custom Home

Ground-up architect-led builds, from a 4,800 sq ft Park Meadows family home to a 14,000 sq ft Empire Pass legacy compound. Floor plans hand-tuned to the lot, the views, the way you actually use a Sunday morning. Single contract from schematic through final punch — one team, one number, no third-party general.

  • Architect-integrated design + build
  • 14–22 month typical timeline
  • Fixed-fee or cost-plus contract structures

Renovation & Addition

Down-to-studs reimagining of Old Town miner’s cabins, Park Meadows ranches, and Deer Valley ski lodges. We rebuild the bones — structure, envelope, mechanicals — and keep the character that made you fall in love with the address. Engineered for thirty more winters, not the next listing photo.

  • Historic-district experience (Old Town)
  • Structural + envelope + mechanical full rebuild
  • Live-in or fully-vacated, your call

Mountain-Lot Site Work

The Wasatch Back doesn’t forgive bad site prep. We’ve drilled the wells, set the septic, cut the switchback drives, and stabilized the slopes on more than a hundred lots between Promontory and Tuhaye. Geotechnical, view-corridor, HOA, and Summit County review — handled in-house before excavation.

  • Geotech, drainage, slope stabilization
  • Well + septic + access road
  • HOA & Summit County review handled

Sustainable & Passive Design

High-altitude envelopes engineered to perform: triple-pane, mineral-wool exterior, ERV, ground-source heat pumps. Two Passive House certified projects in the Heber Valley and a portfolio of LEED Silver homes across Park City. Lower bills, quieter rooms, healthier air — and a house that’ll still be efficient in 2055.

  • Passive House & LEED experience
  • Triple-pane envelope, ERV, GSHP
  • Blower-door tested & documented

Project Management

The construction phase is the part most builders hide. We don’t. Weekly site walks, real-time budget visibility through your owner portal, photo updates every Friday, and a single point of contact who answers texts. You’ll know exactly what was poured, framed, or punched — even from a kitchen in Manhattan.

  • Owner portal — live budget, schedule, photos
  • Single partner point-of-contact
  • Weekly site walks, Friday photo update

Post-Build Care

A custom home is the start of a relationship, not the end. Our Post-Build Care program covers the two-year settling warranty, seasonal mechanical tuning, and a single number to call when a door sticks in January or the wine cellar needs a humidity check in July. Most clients still text the same partner ten winters later.

  • 2-year settling warranty included
  • Seasonal mechanical tune-up program
  • Same partner contact, every winter
