Service · Commercial

Commercial solar that cashflows month one.

Flat-roof, sloped, and carport PV for warehouses, schools, distribution centers, and Class-A office across Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, and Tucson. Federal ITC + accelerated depreciation modeled into every proposal — and a P.E. seal on every engineering set.

Commercial system types

Three commercial structures. One in-house engineering team.

Flat-roof ballasted

Non-penetrating racking on TPO or mod-bit roofs. Ideal for warehouses, distribution centers, and Class-A office. No roof warranty voids.

1.2 MWLargest flat-roof to date

Solar carports

Steel-frame carports over parking. Shade for the cars, energy for the meter, depreciation for the books. Typically 100–800 kW.

Sloped commercial roof

Standing-seam metal, TPO with pitch, or ballast-anchored hybrid. Mounted with manufacturer-approved hardware to preserve roof warranty.

Financing options

Three ways to go solar. We’ll show you all three.

Most solar shops push the one option that pays them best. We model ownership, $0-down loan, and PPA / lease side-by-side in every quote—then you pick. Federal credit and AZ-specific incentives already baked into the numbers.

Cash

Own outright

Best 25-year value

Pay cash, claim the 30% federal tax credit, keep every electron and every utility-rate hike you escape.

  • Maximum lifetime savings — typical $58k+ over 25 years
  • Full 30% federal Residential Clean Energy Credit
  • No monthly payment — owned free and clear
  • Increases home resale value (Berkeley Lab study)
  • Highest upfront — typical $22k–$32k after credit
  • Slower payback if you plan to move in <6 years

Loan

$0-down solar loan

Most popular

Finance the system at 4.99–7.99% over 10, 15, or 25 years. Monthly payment typically lower than your old utility bill from day one.

  • No money down — replace one bill with another
  • You still own the system + claim federal credit
  • Payment typically beats utility bill month one
  • Sell or pay off any time without penalty
  • Interest costs reduce lifetime savings vs. cash
  • Requires credit check (typical 650+ FICO)

PPA / Lease

Pay only for power

Lowest commitment

SunWright owns and maintains the panels. You buy the kWh they produce at a fixed sub-utility rate for 20 or 25 years. No loan, no credit-utilization hit.

  • $0 down, $0 maintenance, $0 surprises
  • Sub-utility rate locked for 20–25 years
  • We own the system, you own the savings
  • Approval based on roof, not credit score
  • Lower lifetime savings than own/loan structures
  • Federal tax credit goes to SunWright, not you

★★★★★
Three solar companies pitched us. SunWright was the only one who showed us PPA, loan, AND cash numbers side by side. Eight months in, our APS bill is $14 and we run AC at 74° all summer.

Crew was on time, panels were on the roof in one day, and the city inspector signed off in five days flat. They did the SRP rebate paperwork for us. Best contractor experience we’ve had in this house.

We went PPA because we’re moving in five years. SunWright still treated it like our forever house — engineered for the pool load, walked us through the transfer clause, no pressure to upsell to a loan.

Frequently asked

What facility managers ask about commercial PV.

What system sizes do you install commercial?
Typical range 50 kW to 1.5 MW DC. Largest install to date is a 1.2 MW carport-and-rooftop hybrid for a Mesa distribution center. We’ll model anything up to 5 MW behind-the-meter.
What financing structures do you offer commercial?
Cash, commercial loan, operating lease, capital lease, and PPA. Most clients pick PPA or capital lease to capture the 30% ITC + 5-year MACRS bonus depreciation without owning the equipment.
Will solar work on my flat warehouse roof?
Yes—ballasted racking on TPO or modified-bit, mechanical attachment on metal deck. We do a structural load review on every flat-roof system; most warehouse roofs in AZ are spec’d well above the live load required for PV.
What about parking lots and carports?
Solar carports are one of the highest-ROI commercial structures we install in AZ—you shade the parking, you generate power, and you depreciate the structure. Typical 200-space lot supports 800 kW to 1.2 MW.
